A video game proof of concept. (Solo designer, Animator)
A mind bending 2D platformer all based on the idea of color. Black, White and Red All Over is meant to test a players memory and puzzle solving skills as they parkour their way through a monochromatic world.
As the player moves, the 3 piece background moves along with them. Revealing or obscuring parts of the world. Solid black and white platforms sit on a solid black and white background to create this effect. Nothing is “spawned in” suddenly. The entire game hinges off of it’s minimalist palette and artstyle.
Not Just Parkour
Enemies await in plain sight. Thus the challenge for the player becomes not how to defeat them, but how to escape them. Planning is rewarded more than quick reflexes (although you’ll need to master both to truly succeed)
Don't Trust Your Eyes
In later levels, not all enemies stay as easily spotted.
Some Enemies May Hide
This one seems to disappear only when you get too close. To combat it, you must always be thinking (and looking!) ahead
